Life Coaching
There are three lead tenets to my life coaching practice.
We Are All Whole
My clients are not broken when they come to me, and neither are you.
In fact, the individuals who seek my support are some of the most beautifully put together people I have ever met.
I know it can feel like we are missing pieces of ourselves… but the truth is: we have everything we need.
We are, in fact, whole as we are.
Maybe we are like complicated puzzles, and when things get hard we insist that we are missing pieces, or that the pieces we do have could never fit together.
We squirm and we scramble in our seats, demanding that something is missing - that something is just not there…
When all the while, a new perspective will show us that we have had what we need the whole time; the pieces we hold fit together perfectly; we are, in fact, whole.
You, Me, and We
You have a quality and character that is yours alone. It distinguishes you from anyone else.
I have mine. We have ours.
Anytime two people come together, something unique and distinct from either individual is born. A partnership, varying in strength and duration, emerges into our reality.
In that space of partnership, our capacities blend and there are conversations and experiences that only you and I can have in those moments.
We are able to create something together that otherwise would not exist; something that neither you nor I would create alone.
There is hidden magic that comes as a result of we.
Two people working and harmonizing together towards a shared cause.
When the compatibility is right, sparks fly.
Love & Admiration
Some of my coaching relationships are years old and growing. We bond over time. We learn to breath, move, focus, and build together.
Like any relationship, building that trust and learning to flow with one another takes time.
It takes showing up - rain or shine.
And it takes going the distance to discover what it means to depend on one another.
And that can be hard.
It’s scary to let someone in. And that’s what this is.
We share our world with one another. And in doing so we open ourselves up to love and admiration - for one another, for ourselves, for those around us, and from those around us.
It’s not always easy. It’s not always simple.
But love and admiration is always worth it. And the truth is: these relationships don’t work without it.
Testimonials
Literally every time we hang up, I feel empowered to take a next step forward in that moment. From increased communication across my relationships, being true to myself, voicing what I want more in my work, and supporting my family I have had success!
- Cassie Lawrence (Stamford, Connecticut)
I started a new career and wanted to see myself grow in a more direct way. Shawn’s too good at seeing beyond the walls people put up and really zoning in on the bigger picture making for quick and substantial progress.
